    Legal Status

CLEAR Cannabis Law Reform is a political party. We are not presently registered with the Electoral Commission as we are not currently intending to contest any elections.

Peter Reynolds is the party leader and Roland Gyallay-Pap is the party treasurer.

CLEAR has adopted the Electoral Commission’s model financial scheme.  The CLEAR financial scheme is reproduced in full here.

    Equal Opportunities

We believe it is essential to enable people of all backgrounds and social groups to support the CLEAR campaign.

We support the principle of equal opportunity and oppose all forms of unlawful or unfair discrimination on the grounds of colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, sex, disability, age, religious belief, sexual orientation or marital status. We welcome people who support cannabis law reform from whatever cultural, ethnic or political backgrounds, be they cannabis users or not.

Every possible step will be taken to ensure that individuals are treated equally and fairly, and members are invited to raise concerns with us if they feel an infringement to this policy has been made. Members found to be in violation of this policy may face suspension or even expulsion from the party.

These are the members of the Executive Committee.

Peter Reynolds was elected leader of CLEAR in February 2011 and re-elected unopposed in February 2014. He was appointed president in June 2013. Aged 56 and a professional writer all his life, Peter lives on the Dorset coast with his two dogs, an overworked computer and an overflowing in tray. More information is available at his personal website: www.peter-reynolds.co.uk
    Mark Palmer
Mark Palmer  Mark has been a long time supporter of cannabis law reform, involved from the very beginning of the LCA. He was appointed a fellow of the party in June 2013. He is presently on sabbatical in South Africa but he continues to contribute in online meetings.
    Derek Williams
Derek Williams is CLEAR website editor.  He has also been involved in the campaign since the beginning of the LCA.  He lives in Norwich and also runs the cannabis law reform website UKCIA. He was appointed a fellow of the party in February 2014.
Roland Gyallay-Pap Treasurer and Director of Administration, Roland has been a CLEAR member since September 2011. He is currently working towards a CIMA accountancy qualification and has a degree from Imperial College. He believes passionately in the legalisation of cannabis for medicinal purposes, having seen the positive effects it had on the wellbeing of his mother whilst she was terminally ill.

Fellowship of the party is the highest honour. See here for a current list of fellows.
