    Watch Episode 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

American Weed, the new series from National Geographic, finds Colorado medical marijuana businesses under scrutiny and facing mounting pressures from local residents. Medical cannabis entrepreneur and Fort Collins dispensary owner Josh Stanley works aggressively to counter such pressure with radio ads and fundraisers. As the oldest of 11 kids, Josh relies heavily on several of his brothers to work at the grove and keep his business supplied in medical marijuana. Meanwhile, Sgt. Jim Gerhardt and fellow officers on the North Metro Task Force continue to find illegal grows by residents claiming to be growing medical marijuana. Is the pendulum swinging back to curb the 10-year proliferation of medical marijuana in Colorado?

Can some one tell me why these types of non-biased documentaries are not broadcasted on British TV? They show views from both sides but also how Cannabis is actually helping people…

When some careless parent allows or doesn’t stop their 14 year old using Cannabis in the UK, and the 14 year old has a bad reaction from it because his brain is still developing, this is all anecdotal evidence that must be considered. Still it remains only anecdotal and it seems the media and the parents don’t mind blaming everyone else, and of course they demonize Cannabis…
But what about all the anecdotal evidence of when cannabis helps people, keeps them safe and normal, those kind of testimonies get blanked and hidden away.
Yet the negative side (which is so small compared to the positive) gets wildly blown out of proportion and Cannabis is evil.
I think more anecdotal evidence of the positive side to cannabis is what the media needs to present to the public, and of-course the science of Cannabis backs up the positive anecdotal evidence of its medicinal value. Like what these documentaries do.

The fact is if an under-aged child takes any drug (legal or illegal) there is a possibility it could go horribly wrong for them. Dont they see information and regulation could of prevented those incidences especially if it was legalized.

Annoys me when the small about of negative completely clouds the endless positive
