CLEAR Website. Status Update.

The website has now been restored to full working order.  It was hijacked on 30th March but we regained control.  We put it back online on 2nd April but on 3rd April it came under a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack.

The site is now hosted on a clustered grid platform at a new provider and mirrored at another secret location.  We are also using a California based company to provide DDOS protection.

We are undertaking a manual audit of all membership records.  We do not believe that members’ passwords were compromised.  However, changing your password would be a sensible precaution.

There is documentary evidence of who was responsible for the hijacking and the DDOS attack and a police investigation is underway.

There may be the odd broken link or missing image.  Please report any problems you notice by commenting here.

Thank you for your patience and support through this difficult time.

It is not completely back and working.  Access to the members forum is not available from any link I have found and seems to require providing a fresh password when you do eventually find a way in.   The only reliable means I have so far is to follow a link to some random article from an old notification and start exploring from there, whereever there is.

I do note that while every effort has been made to give the public their access less effort seems to have been expended to give the voting membership the same.

We are acting on this immediately Steve.  Mark Palmer, who runs the forum, will be in direct contact with you.

      Peter,
No worries, he has been in touch.

I expect problems just making it work with such very low volumes anyway. Add the odd missing regular or two and some parts are going to be slower than others to come together.

I don’t have issues with this, as long as they come together eventually.
