Very good but when asked about legalisation I think it might help to say that it’s pointless trying to legalise something that isn’t actually illegal. Neither cannabis, nor any other drug is ‘illegal’, but some of them are ‘controlled’ under the misuse of drugs act.  What we want is adult access to this ‘controlled’ cannabis, for it to be properly scheduled, its medicinal value fully recognised and proper ‘controls’ put in place so that the small percentage of people who do encounter problems whilst exercising their human rights can seek help without risking judicial sanctions. The current ‘control’ tool of state and judicial brutality is simply not working, never has worked and will continue to worsen the situation (as seen by recent events) until this government smells the coffee.

Brilliant and crystal clear. Hopefully the message gets across, I think the thing is with scared parents and misinformed prohibitionists, is that they think the legal regulation of  cannabis comes from a very selfish place, they think we just want to be able to smoke/grow without fear of arrest and imprisonment. When that is but a minor factor in the grand scheme. They have to understand that prohibition is evil, and is causing far more problems than cannabis ever could. It effects everyone, cannabis user or not. They have to understand, the demand wont go away simply because its illegal, therefore they are left with a choice, who would you prefer controlling the cannabis market? Government approved professionals, from lab testing to quality control, to growing and selling by extremely informed caring people. Or criminal drug dealers? Who dont even know whatCBD is, and spray the cannabis up with glass particles or heroine to get their young clientèle hooked onto something that will destroy their life, all in the name of profits. Its a no brainer for those with a brain.

      heres a question
we know you are right about cannabis and everything that surrounds it.
However being a one policy party, how can you get a cannabis reform into power because surely you need to be able to deal with all the other issues that mps have to deal with.
could you maybe join up with ukip or green party and build with them

As I said in the interview Matt, I’m not aiming to be elected.  CLEAR is a single issue party and we are not advancing any other policies.

The aim is to put the issue on the political agenda and make what use we can of the publicity and campaigning opportunity.

This had been discussed many times and each time with the same answer.  Not all of us agree with the rest of the Green party policies, or those of UKIP either. To join with another party just because they want to jump on a publicity bandwagon is not what we are here for.
