07 May Canada’s Medicinal Cannabis Programme Takes Off

Canada has introduced a new set of regulations for medicinal cannabis. Unpopular with many, the major change is to remove the “personal use production licence”. As of 1st April 2014, the only way to access marijuana for medical purposes will be through commercial, licensed producers.
This has led to an extraordinary boom in new commercial growers, most notable perhaps, Bedrocan, the Dutch government’s official producer, has opened a Canadian operation.
