Opening of meeting

PR handed in his written resignation as leader. RGP was nominated acting leader pending a leadership election to be held in due course.

Financial & performance overview 6 months to end June 2015

The accounts for the first half-year ending 30 June were acknowledged. It was noted that income had been slightly higher than in the previous year, with two large donations (£250 or above) having been received at the beginning of the year.

Membership is significantly up on previous year, with a total of 300 new members in the period, compared with 350 for the whole of 2014. Due to new reporting procedures, expired accounts can now be accurately recorded, resulting in net new members of 145.

Legal status & constitution

It was agreed that CLEAR’s legal status and new constitution are a matter of highest priority. RGP to take a lead on this.

Newsletter & Daily News

It was agreed that the newsletter will be published monthly. A schedule for publication to be drawn up.

Any Other Business

Drug driving enforcement: repeated requests for the new testing kits have met on deaf ears. PR to chase.

CLEAR’s position on cannabis social clubs: CLEAR does not support the cannabis social club model for the UK. It fragments the market and does not follow the principle of equal access to all.

Translation MCTE to Spanish: this has now been completed
