A Life Fellowship of CLEAR is the highest honour. It is awarded to those who are true heroes in the cause, who have gone way above and beyond the call of duty and have made a real difference.

Don Barnard

Don was made a fellow in March 2011. He has a long and honourable history as a cannabis campaigner. He stood as a parliamentary candidate for the Legalise Cannabis Alliance before it changed its name to CLEAR and was its press officer for many years.

Jack, alongside his wife Tina have been campaigning loudly and proudly for more years than most cannabis users have been alive.

Jan Wells

Janice Wells

Jan was instrumental in the process that led to the re-launch of the LCA as CLEAR and what has been the rebirth of the whole campaign in Britain. She was the backbone of CLEAR’s administration in the early days.

Derek Williams

Derek has been active in the cannabis law reform movement since 1992. He joined CLEAR in 2011 and has been the website editor ever since. Although no longer a cannabis user himself, he still feels the cause is right.

Mark Palmer

Mark Palmer

Mark Palmer was a long-time cannabis law reform campaigner, supporting CLEAR through its transition from the Legalise Cannabis Alliance (LCA) and serving as CLEAR Treasurer, and later as Deputy Leader. In 2014, he moved to South Africa, where he sadly passed away on 14th February 2016.

Vicky Hodgson

Vicky Hodgson

Vicky Hodgson is a 62 year old grandmother with scoliosis and the most painful condition known in medicine, cluster  headaches. Cannabis enables her to live as normal a life as possible. She has been on a MUP delegation to meet a government minister three times and is an active member of the Medicinal Users Panel.

George Hutchings

George Hutchings

George Hutchings has an extremely rare neurodegenerative condition which leaves him in constant pain.  Cannabis helps without the debilitating effects of opiate medicines. He has been on a MUP delegation to meet a government minister four times and is an active member of the Medicinal Users Panel.

Paul Lewington

Paul Lewington

Paul Lewington was born with spina bifida and in later life developed scoliosis and severe pressure sores. Cannabis saves him from constant pain and suffering. He is an active member of the Medicinal Users Panel.

Dean Price

Dean Price

Dean Price lives on the Isle of Wight. He runs his own business but suffers from degenerative arthritis which gets worse every year. Cannabis provides constant, gentle pain relief. He has been on a MUP delegation to meet a government minister four times and is an active member of the Medicinal Users Panel.

Lara Smith

Lara Smith

Lara Smith, a former paediatric nurse, she has spinal arthritis and her only source of pain relief is Bedrocan. However, she has to travel to Holland every three months, running a “customs gauntlet” in order to obtain her medicine. She is an active member of the Medicinal Users Panel.

John Ellis

John Ellis

John Ellis from the Wirral has an extremely rare condition caused by a copper deficiency called spinal paraparesis.  Cannabis helps him cope with constant pain.

Nick Ellis

Nick Ellis

Nick Ellis is 34 years old and an ex-soldier. He has a collection of chronic pain conditions including fibromyalgia, colitis and sciatica. Cannabis is the only medicine that works for him. He is an active member of the Medicinal Users Panel.

Penny Fitzlyon

Penny Fitzlyon  was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2001.  Cannabis helps control muscle spasms, chronic pain and has helped preserve her ability to walk. She is an active member of the Medicinal Users Panel and a campaigner in her own right.

Roland Gayally-pap

Roland Gyallay-Pap

Now Managing Director, Roland has been a CLEAR executive committee member since 2012. He believes passionately in the legalisation of cannabis for medicinal purposes, having seen the positive effects it had on the wellbeing of his mother whilst she was terminally ill.

Richard Tong  Joel Dalais

Joel Dalais

Joel is a former member of the CLEAR executive committee. He was closely involved in the development of local groups and in the 2012 Corby by-election campaign. He has a degenerative bone disease for which he uses medicinal cannabis.

Graham Smith

Graham Smith

Graham is a former member of the CLEAR executive committee. He is a medicinal cannabis user with a debilitating condition diagnosed as somewhere between chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.

Kate Stenberg

Kate Stenberg

Kate Stenberg uses cannabis for anxiety, depression and chronic pain. It allows her to function normally without taking handfuls of toxic and harmful pharmaceutical medicines. She is an active member of the Medicinal Users Panel and has been on a MUP delegation to meet a government minister.
