10 Jan Groundhog Day At The Home Affairs Select Committee
Typical isn’t it? I’ve spent the past five or six weeks cajoling people, writing guidance, reviewing people’s drafts, encouraging, coaching, etc, etc. All about the opportunity to submit evidence to the Home Affairs select committee inquiry into drugs policy.
Today was deadline day and guess who hadn’t done his?
It took me a solid four hours of intense work. It went in at 2400 words including all references and links to sources.
I can’t publish it because that’s against the conditions of evidence.
However, 29 years ago, in April 1983, my daisywheel printer was working overtime to produce, you guessed it, a submission to the Home Affairs select committee! (complete with grubby finger marks)
