Home Office Denies FOI Request In Cover-Up Of All Information On Cannabis Production Licences

On 6th March 2018 CLEAR submitted a Freedom of Information Request to the Home Office asking for full details of the licences accounting for the legal production of cannabis in the UK. This arose from the story which we broke on 4th March revealing that the UK is the world’s largest producer and exporter of legal cannabis, this according to data provided to the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) by the government. The Home Office has refused the request. Its grounds...

How To Campaign For Cannabis Law Reform Under A Theresa May Government.

+ Lobbying Parliament   + If the Government Won't Regulate Cannabis Then We'll Do It For Them   + The CBD Market   + Medical Cannabis   + Educating And Influencing Researchers   For cannabis and drugs policy reform, out of 650 MPs, there could not have been a worse person to seize power than Theresa May.  There are a few who come close on both Tory and Labour benches but no one who has such a long record of bigotry, denial of evidence and refusal even to consider the subject. The UK’s First Licensed Cannabis Dispensary.

When Mike Dobson first called me a few months ago and told me he had an idea for gaining legal access to cannabis in the UK, I was, of course, sceptical. Cruel And Irresponsible Response from UK Government To Parliamentary Report On Medicinal Cannabis.

It fell to Sarah Newton MP, minister of state...

Seismic Shift In UK Politics Re-Opens Door To Cannabis Law Reform.

Whichever way you voted in the EU referendum, it has at least opened up all possibilities for cannabis law reform. The dissolution of the coalition government and the unexpected Tory majority last year had really put the block on progress. The Liberal Democrats failed to take the opportunities they had while in government.  So sad that only now they are discredited and decimated in Parliament have they really got their cannabis policy...
